'Wreck & Rescue' Lifeboat Museum

The Lifeboat Museum Section

This section adjoining the gift shop displays all the original rescue service boards from the Bembridge Lifeboat Station, along with other associated local lifeboat archives. The 'Insight of Bembridge Lifeboat' action DVD of the history of the station since 1867 is on constant loop play to give viewers a taste of dramatic lifeboat rescues carried out in the local area.

You can also view the historic Bembridge RNLI lifeboats 'Queen Victoria' (1887) and 'Langham' (1922). 'Queen Victoria' (1887) is the oldest surviving RNLI pulling and sailing lifeboat and has been used in many re-enactments and events nationwide since her restoration in 1998.
